Scopion Control

Most Scorpions in the Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, and Henderson area are dominated by: Bark Scorpions. They are approximately 2 inches in length as an adult. They carry approximately 30 babies. They are venomous but just like bees, the effects of their venom depends on the level of the person allergy.

There are three approaches to controlling scorpions.

1. Food elimination

The first and most cost effective way is food ellimination. With this we elliminate the primary food source such as: cockroaches, crickets, and spiders.

2. Extraction Process

The second attempt if the food ellimination does not control the scorpion problem, then the second method is extraction. The extraction process begins by chemically flushing the scorpions out of their primary harborage areas. Approximately 30 minutes before dark the chemical treatment begins making sure to eliminate all possible hiding areas and forcing them to come out to be extracted, then 30 minutes after dark we begin the final treatment which is using the black light to physically extract them from the property. The black light treatment begins from the front sidewalk all the way to the back wall and everything in between including the inside of the house.

The exo skeleton of a scorpion has a tendency to glow fluorescent green under a black light thus allowing us to find them during night time after we have chemically flushed them from the property. We manually extract them from the property and permanently remove them.

3. Exclusion

The third process is exclusion. If 5 or more scorpions are extracted from the property, we have to recommend an exclusion process. This treatment consist of going over with the property owners all the possible entry points to the interior of the house to be sealed to minimize possible penetration.
